SPECIFICATIONS

Red light LED bulbs with a choice of 5, 7, or 9 watts – for physiologically beneficial and sleep-promoting lighting in the bedroom. E27 standard thread for common Swiss lamp sockets. Flicker-free, warm light output.

Red, or long-wavelength light, promotes the production of melatonin ("sleep hormone"). People relax, become tired, and fall asleep. The opposite is true for the short-wavelength (blue) light from smartphones and screens: It activates the mind and can impair sleep quality. For people with ADHD, it's recommended to use a red light lamp as the only bedroom lighting. It's best to avoid cell phones and tablets altogether in the evening.
