Our WHY (FAQ)

An ADHD shop, seriously? Yes, seriously. But also in play. When you have the flu, you might visit an online pharmacy or a knowledge site about influenza. Then you take an aspirin. Neither of these things will eliminate the cause of your headache. But the pain will lessen somewhat – and your awareness will increase. That's how it can be at adhs.store, too. In any case, we want to offer products, ideas, and recipes that help you accept, reflect on, and utilize ADHD...and a lot more. Everything you can do with "being different." Syndrome? Normal variant? Disorder? These are just labels. Because there are people behind them. And not boring ones at all...

Briefly, briefly please. What's the idea behind adhs.store? To impart knowledge (a lot of it!) and support you in taking your own ADHD or that of your child/partner a little easier. We don't cure or eliminate anything. But we do know a little about ADHD, having lived with it for 40 years without medication. And that's precisely why we stand behind the products we offer. Whether that's a clever wooden gadget or a pair of noise-cancelling headphones .

Do you earn money with this? We certainly hope so, because we invest a lot of time, too. They say time is money. But people with ADHD know very well that time is so much more. Above all, it's time spent with loved ones (who accept you as you are), time spent relaxing (rare...but really necessary), and also time spent with HYPERFOCUS. Yes, exactly...we mean that express train for cognitive performance that people with ADHD get on every now and then. But back to the point: we're not dependent on it (see below). This is an important aspect, because the motivation for this came from writing. And writing, alongside useful products, will always sustain this website.

As the author of this, are you a (social) educator, psychologist, psychiatrist, [insert title here]? No. A writer. I have a degree, but above all, I'm passionate about it. If you see something that doesn't suit you at all because it's simply wrong, I'll be the first to appreciate your feedback. Then I'll correct it, and in the worst case, even discuss it beforehand.

More questions? Good, because we have more answers.

But not right now.

We'll do that tomorrow.
